Gamify youR yOuth Work - GROW

July 12, 2022

The project’s main aim is to explore and increase the capacity of all partner organisations from programme and partner countries on the topic of gamification in the youth work. GROW is contributing to extending and developing the competences of the youth workers thanks to the development of a course for youth workers on gamification methods, including materials, video tutorials and training curriculum. Additionally, GROW will develop a handbook that aims to support youth workers in gamebased elements and apps in the activities for young people. The partner organisations exchange their best practices on the project’s topic to gather the best methods and build the capacity of youth workers on international, and more importantly on local level, exploiting their multiplier effect through the promotion and dissemination of the materials, web conference and local trainings in each partner country.

The specific objectives of the GROW project are the following:

  1. increasing and further developing the digital competences of youth workers on local and international level by providing them with a blended training course on gamification methods and tools
  2. empowering youth workers working with young people with fewer opportunities and NEETs to use gamification and game-based environments to deal with diversified groups and improve the quality of their work practice
  3. enhancing the possibility of exchange of the good practice and methods through the creation of a Community of Practice for youth workers interested in the topic of gamification in the youth work
  4. developing a cross-border collaboration with the purpose of creating innovative uses of gamification tailored to the needs of the youth work

The project is financed by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of youth programme.
