The youth and educational organisation K.A.NE. Social Youth Development is opening two 6-month internship positions, starting from 15th of March. The internships will take place in K.A.NE.’s offices in Kalamata, Greece.

Conditions for both interships:

Duration: 6 months, full time

Compensation: Equal to the current basic salary in Greece

Starting date: 15th of March 2018 (flexible)

Deadline: 5th of March 2018

Interviews: 6th – 7th of March 2018

Internship Position 1: Office manager (KANE-office-2018)

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings and appointments
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Address employees’ queries regarding office management issues
  • Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and conferences
  • Ensure the visibility of projects/activities and dissemination of results
  • Arrange necessary website maintenance with the IT department
  • Process formal documents
  • Arrange translations and publications
  • Project scouting and network’s communications
  • Serve as point person for office manager duties including supplies, maintenance, material
  • Complementary accounting assistance
  • Achieve and deliver results within deadlines

Requirements:

  • Full professional or native-level proficiency in both Greek and English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Familiarity with scheduling and calendar tools
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

Internship Position 2: Learning Mobility Administrator/ Youth Worker (KANE-youth-2018)

This position deals directly with learning mobilities, voluntary service and civil service projects (EVS, VET, students, other).

Responsibilities

  • General coordination of individuals participating in international learning mobilities
  • On-arrival preparation and reception
  • On-going support in learning and personal level
  • Support individuals to organise and manage learning and cultural activities
  • Scheduling the daily work of individuals participating in international learning mobilities
  • Producing high-quality materials, applications and reports
  • Achieving and delivering results within deadlines
  • Managing and working efficiently with resources, often on a limited budget
  • Monitor the maintenance and needs of the hosting facilities
  • Achieving and delivering results within deadlines
  • Process formal documents
  • Ensuring the visibility of projects/activities and dissemination of results.

Requirements:

  • Full professional or native-level proficiency in English and Greek
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek
  • Using excellent customer service skills to deal with service users
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
