ARTIVISTES: Together against Racism and Discrimination

The ARTIVISTES: Together against Racism and Discrimination program aims the participants (who are between 18 and 30 years old and a group leader without age limit) to understand their cultural backgrounds, their history and tradition, as well as their culture and the mind-set of other participating countries. Through a well-structured program that includes a combination of non-formal and informal learning methods and tools such as workshops, presentations, discussions, cultural evenings, integration games, etc. the main objective is for the participants to discover what they have in common and to become aware of the importance of diversity in European cultures.

The program is a mobility action with the implementation of the youth exchange and is part of the Erasmus + key action 1 and has been funded by INEDIVIM. For the implementation of the project coordinator organization is KANE – Social Youth Development and collaborating institutions from Europe and in particular from Spain – EUROCALETA (Salud Sport) – from Croatia – EUROSKI DOM SLAVONSKI BROD – from the France -CRL 10-, Portugal -Espírito de Mudança – Associação – and from the United Kingdom – Spaghetti Circus-.

The main objectives of the exchange are:

– Awareness and awareness of the role the street arts can be used as a tool in activities promoting social inclusion, solidarity, intercultural dialogue and respect for and appreciation of diversity

-To promote the active participation of young people, especially young people with fewer opportunities, in actions that concern society as a whole

– Developing and facilitating young people’s free expression and creativity

– Developing young people’s skills through a non-formal learning method and promoting the importance of youth work in various forms to support young people with fewer opportunities

– Promoting the importance, pluralism and beauty of cultural diversity within the European Union

– Supporting participants to improve/develop communication, interpersonal, social, professional and artistic skills

– To create a safe and friendly environment where young people exchange ideas and skills and learn how to use their differences by working together to create a common result that combines the specificities of culture and mentality of all participants

– Promote the Erasmus + program both to new participants and to the local community they will come into contact with, emphasizing the opportunities that this offers to young people and beyond.
