Three representatives of K.A.NE. Social Youth Development organisation, Ms Fotini Arapi, project manager, Ms Jelena Scepanovic, EVS coordinator and Ms Evi Chronopoulou, volunteer mentor, participated in the capacity building seminar with the title “Fighting Youth Unemployment with Social Innovation projects”.
The seminar took place in Hanoi, Vietnam, from the 21st to the 27th of February 2016 in the framework of the Seeding Social Innovations in Local Communities project (Erasmus + programme).
This seminar was the first international activity of the SILC Capacity Building project, coordinated by Europe House Slavonski Brod organisation from Croatia.
The seminar was hosted by SJ Vietnam organisation and brought together 24 youth workers and youth leaders from 8 different countries, Croatia, Greece, France, Vietnam, Indonesia, Peru, Thailand and Japan.
During the seminar, the participants dealt with the subjects of Global Citizenship and Youth Participation, as well as Social Innovation, Cross-sectoral creative partnerships, Audience development, Creative use of ICT to promote youth work and innovative activities, etc.
Our own, Ms Fotini Arapi, youth worker and trainer, made a presentation about Intercultural Learning and Competences.
The seminar set the foundations for the 16-month project and the continuation of the activities, and signaled the beginning of the creation of a good network for collaboration between the partners.
