ESC long-term volunteering with La Vibria Intercultural in Terrassa, Spain
By: Anastasia Margouta
I am going to share with you some moments that happened this month during my volunteering in Terrassa!
The month started and continued with some catalan and latin dance classes.
I really enjoy the fact that I am trying to immerse myself in the Spanish and Catalan culture and have the chance to receive new knowledge during my stay here!
At the moment I am trying to practice my Spanish as I realise that it is more difficult to connect if you don’t know the language.
Fira Modernista was another nice experience of this month!
I got very happy watching people dressed in modernist costumes as well as having the opportunity to visit the events and many modernist buildings.
Last but not least was the trip with the other volunteers to Valencia!
I am very grateful that I had the chance to explore the city and spend my free time there.
We were also very luck that we were there during a big flamenco event!
Being a volunteer sometimes might be intense, confusing and stressful but after all it is a unique experience that gives memories to remember your whole life!
