Το πρόγραμμα καλύπτει πλήρως (100%) τα έξοδα διαμονής και διατροφής, συντονισμού, εσωτερικών μετακινήσεων, δραστηριοτήτων κτλ καθώς και 275 ευρώ από τα εξόδα του ταξιδίου από την Ελλάδα στη Γαλλία με επιστροφή. Επιπλέον, οι εθελοντές καλύπτονται με πλήρη ιδιωτική ασφάλιση, καθώς εντάσσονται στο πρόγραμμα ομαδικής ασφάλισης ατόμων που συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα Ευρωπαϊκής Εθελοντικής Υπηρεσίας.

- Context :
La Sympathie belongs to the Leo Lagrange Mediterranee leisure and community center. It is an educational center, aimed at children from 3 to 12 and proposing leisure activities, to ensure discovering, creativity, independence. It is also a place of dialogue, liberty, solidarity, actions and projects developed for and with the youth. The structure host international volunteers every year.
The center is located at Digne-les-Bains, in the South-East of France, at 140kms of Marseille, between the Alps Mountains and the Provence, surrounded by mountains and nature.
- Volunteer tasks :
The volunteers will contribute on two fields, leisure activities in Child Sector (3/10 years) and Youth Sector (12/17 years).
The leisure reception of activities is an entertaining space, where children and teenagers will find all the factors to develop their education through the game, the recreational, sports and cultural activities.
Every project is specific according to the public and to the environment, however they are all based on the same general educational objectives:
Child sector:
• Help the development of the imagination
• Facilitate the self-fulfillment of the individual
• Improve the learning of the life in community
• Facilitate the emotional safety and the control of its environment
• Respect the rhythm of each person.
Youth sector:
• Allow the teenagers in full changes to find a place where they can exchange and meet between them.
• Develop cultural and leisure activities with contribution and needs of youth
• Allow young people to elaborate their own project and to build their own activities
• Raise awareness in local and social involvement, and participate in the life of the city
• Workshop about life in community, notion of respect, and values of solidarity and sharing
Volunteers will participate in hosting organisation activities and in the setting up of sport events or activities in collaboration with other volunteers of the project, linked with Euro 2016. The hosting organisation wants to involve local sport organisations in this project.
- Volunteer Profile :
The participants need to be between 18 and 30. This project requires an extremely motivated volunteer who has a keen interest in working with young people. They must be interested to develop their own ideas within the project and work within a team and sometime on their own if needed. Basic knowledge of French language would be appreciated.
2 volunteers will be hosted during the same period from Greece and Czech Republic.

- Practical information :
Working hours
26 hours per week during school time; days off on Monday, Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday.
42 hours per week during the holiday’s period; days off on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
Allowance
The volunteer will get a budget to cover the food expenses of 200 Euros and 115 Euros as pocket money.
Accommodation
The volunteer will be hosted in a private and independent studio-flat, fully equipped, shared with the second volunteer.
