The StartMeUp program aims the participants (who are between 18 and 30 years old and a group leader without age limit) to contribute positively on reducing youth unemployment in the EU by focusing mostly on entrepreneurial skills. Also, the program aims to increase the chances of young people to make innovative ideas. The specific objectives of this project are the participants to:

1) Understand that entrepreneurship is a viable way to combat youth unemployment.

2) Develop a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, self-empowerment and self-esteem.

3) Identify the various obstacles that young people can face and learn how to overcome them.

4) To shape or improve their attitudes, knowledge and skills in the work environment.

5) Familiarize themselves with non-formal learning methods and understand how and how this and youth work can contribute to their personal and professional development, focusing in particular on supporting young people with fewer opportunities. This program coincides with the Erasmus + objectives of contributing to the upgrading of society in general, providing young people with highly specialized, broad-based and international experience to become professionals of the future. This program will improve the skills of young people who will participate and will have a positive impact on their employability. It will also highlight the need to modernize the education, training and youth system.

The program is a mobility action with the implementation of the youth exchange and is part of the Erasmus + key action 1 and has been funded by INEDIVIM. For the implementation of the project coordinator organization is KANE – Social Youth Development and partner organizations from Europe and more specifically from Portugal -Associação Inspira! -Intervenção juvenil e Ambiental- from Croatia -Udruga za razvoj I jacanje kvalitete zivota Omne Trium Perfectum- from Lithuania -Asociacija «Tavo Europa- from Italy -Oriel- and from Romania-SOCIATIA TINERILOR CU INITIATIVA CIVICA-
