From the 1st of March to the 3rd I have been to Santa María del Campo, Burgos in Spain at the APV of the Youth Exchange «Food For Inclusion» that was hosted by the Association “BRÚJULA Intercultural”. As K.A.NE. is a partner in the project, I was sent as the group leader of the Greek team.
The APV was very well organized and the accommodation was perfect for it’s purpose since we had all the necessary space, both for our meetings and leaving necessities.
We discussed extensively the project’s requirements and we have visited the locations and accommodation of the Youth Exchange.
I was very pleased to see that the Major of Santa Maria del Campo was very helpful and forthcoming when we met her and that she will provide us with the opportunities to have a great local impact by giving us access to communal establishments and local activities that will be held during the Youth Exchange.
With “BRÚJULA Intercultural” we discussed the hole project, the goals of it and the impact to the local community. We reviewed the whole calendar of the Youth Exchange and made the adjustments that were needed. I liked very much that the hosting organization was so open to suggestions and gave us the space to co-create the daily plan of the Youth Exchange.
I’m very confident that the Youth Exchange will be successful and it will have a great impact on both the local community and the participants and it will be an experience to remember for both of them.
